DescriptionORIGINAL ART (JIM MITCHELL) (1981/81)Pencil, Pen and Ink on STRATHMORE Paper then on a thicker poster board COMMISSIONED By: Benny Ashburn (Manager), Tommy McClory, Shaggy Dog & Lionel Ritchie. Jim Mitchell was good friends with Benny Ashburn, Tommy McClory & Shaggy Dog. Lionel Ritchie did not really party. Mitchell was invited to their Studiio in Tuskegee, AL. This Original Artwork was commissioned to be a Concert T-Shirt for their 1982 Concert Tour and Possibly an Album Cover for their Nest Album "Thin Walls" (written by Tommy McClory). The Artwork utilizes imagery from their (1979) @1 HIT "SAIL ON". After Benny Ashburn's untimely death in 1982. The Commodores broke up. Lionel Ritchie went on to become a successful solo performer.
