DescriptionWhile I had some higher priority targets, I've long wanted an Arthur Adams example from an X-book, featuring his younger style.When this came up at Heritage, I decided this was a piece I'd make a strong run at and it worked out. Mojo is a personal fave character of mine and this had several great examples of figure & face. This was also a memorable instance of Minor Domo spazzing out. Thrilled to knock off a must-have from my list by acquiring this piece. Sidenote - I wasn't going to post this yet, but it's a blatant attempt to get ML to pick me for next week's Comic Art Live picks. Social/Sharing |

I heard that 9 out of 10 will be Gaiman related picks. So what you got to do is make this Sandman related by saying Mojo is the program director at Netflix and is deciding if they should bring a season 2 or give the go ahead to yet another 365 Days sequel. If Arthur Adams can create such a fantastic first panel monitor shot and the great close up of Mojo in the second, think of what he could do with the Corinthian!

This early Adams is great. Wonder if Moebius was an influence during this period. Congrats on this!

Hard to believe that in his Modern Masters interview, Arthur referred to this book as one of his "least fun jobs and most hated experience." Especially when you look at a page like this. I think it probably had more to do with some deadline and editorial issues he was dealing with at the time. No X-babies on this, but probably still one of my favorite pages from the book. Especially panels 2 & 4. Love the way he drew Major Domo and Minor Domo. And of course Mojo is such a brilliant visual. Good luck on getting picked. It certainly has MY vote.
