Description

This drawing(comic book size) was a lotta fun to do. I had a good time doing the alt comic cover as well. It ended up paying me pretty well, for a cover I didn't actually get paid any cash to do. Got paid 20 comp copies. But it was super-rare and took off ...kinda went viral on ebay. It was selling hot for a bit, it has slowed for sure. Anyways, Mike Mignola actually contacted me on Facebook over the image, He said it inspired him to actually want to do a drawing of Popeye! Bluto's missing arm did not seem to bother him. LOL. ...I don't know if he ever did the Popeye drawing, but I felt good about it. :)...And it led to our serendipitous meeting at the Lake Como art fest, where Mike approached me about doing a Hellboy/Fearless Dawn comic book crossover. Which actually happened!

...so a pretty significant piece in my timeline, I guess:)
