The Art of The Lion King Signed Deluxe Book with "Can't Wait to be King" Sericel and Press Kit (Walt Disney, 1994). Offered in this lot is a rare set of memorabilia centered around the Disney Renaissance masterpiece The Lion King: a deluxe edition The Art of The Lion King artbook with slipcase cover, an extremely rare "Can't Wait to be King" sericel that was included with the book, and a press kit created for the hotly anticipated release of the film in 1994. This highly coveted book is numbered 1,768, and it bears the signatures of Walt Disney's President of Feature Animation Peter Schneider, The Lion King producer Dan Hahn, and the film's directors Rob Minkoff and Roger Allers. The sericel featuring a great image of protagonist Simba was created in an edition of 7,500, with the first 3,850 included with the release of the book. An exceptionally rare find, long sold out for over 25 years! Includes a Certificate of Authenticity. The press kit includes a marketing letter to the press, three photographs of limited editions, black-and-white photographic screen captures, and a thick booklet of credits and production information. A substantial set of treasures for any fan of the lauded classic The Lion King, this set shows overall minimal handling with some of the press materials shows light edge wear. Light debris on the slipcase, and the condition of the set is Very Good.
