Superman Secret Identity by Kurt Busiek and Stuart Immonen ranks up there with Superman For All Seasons by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale as my favorite Superman stories.

This page is from the final issue and features Lois and Clark celebrating Christmas with their two daughters and their boyfriends. Stuart does a wonderful job conveying the characters' emotions during the quiet, personal moments throughout this story and this page is a prime example of his ability to do so.

Beautiful storytelling page spotlighting the pure illustrative muscle of Stuart Immonen. Gorgeous pencil work, and its unlinked nature really adds to the warm and intimate feel of the scene. I also love the lack of distinct panel borders (which can result in some cool shapes and effects, like the "odd top panel shape" of panel 7 - thanks to the back of the couch in panel 4, above it - as well as the doorjamb / wall between panels 7&8). Really lovely work from this terrific story. Congrats!
