DescriptionThis incredible panel (from Pg 3, rest below) is one of my favorites, SSOC's Lair of the Ice Worm. It takes us back to right after R.E. Howards rejected story (you really have to wonder about what they didn't like about it!) "Gods of the North" better known as "The Frost Giant's Daughter."You see the innocence and naivete of the character as he gets set to explore the kingdoms to the south, he still has a few lessons to learn! The other panels are top shelf too, especially the first. Super special bonus,...I have the next page too! Check it out. Thoughts? Social/Sharing |

Alcala just makes everyone better. No exception here. Fantastic panel but truly the whole page is quite nice.

Lee, I agree! The top panel pictures him as a young (16 year old?), reminds me a bit of the SSOC #24 Buscema Tower of the Elephant. Mostly artists draw Conan as a mature person even if they are drawing the early stories like Queen of the Black Coast, Rogues in the House, etc. That's what I really like about BWS's early issues, Conan LOOKED young!
