DescriptionA Bruce McCorkindale re-creation of Neal Adams's back cover art to FAMOUS 1st EDITION C-26. Ink and paint on 13 X 20" colored pastel paper.When I bought the FAMOUS 1st EDITION C-26 which was the reprint of ACTION COMICS #1, a very special added bonus was the Neal Adams pin-up of Superman which was used on the back cover. I think this was Neal's best image of Superman in his entire career. For a few years I had this on top of a bookcase in my room in my parents' house facing back outwards because I admired Neal's drawing so much. Bruce did a great job of capturing every nuance in his recreation here. Social/Sharing |
