DescriptionMaximum Carnage! What a mega-Spidey event that was, and I loved every issue! SO many characters were involved.But on this particular page, it's a mano-a-mano confrontation between the two symbiotes who started it all! Venom vs Carnage!! (Though you also get some great images of Firestar as well --- and Spidey is there too!) In fact, this is about the only time during the whole saga that Carnage was actually on the ropes. And it's kinda ironic that Venom would be wielding the sonic gun that brought Carnage to his knees, as that was the weapon that was usually used against HIM. And as you can see from that 2nd panel, Carnage is so badass that he does a great job of fighting it. But the added might of Firestar is just too much for the killer red symbiote. This page looks amazing in person! That first panel leaps off the page. And I love how that final panel mimics the cover scene as well. (See additional pic of the cover). I will always love the Maximum Carnage even because I had a red Super Nintendo game!

The first panel image is definitely the money shot, though the whole page is very strong, content wise. But man, THAT'S Firestar? Ugh, was her real costume at the dry cleaners? Congrats on a great page from your beloved Maximum Carnage!

I love this era of comics and this just screams as a piece of its time. The character designs are awesome and the piece has tons of action.

In addition to the larger than life characters, the art style extened into the power lines and backgrounds making everything coarse through the page with power and attitude!

Tom Lyle is the most underrated Spider-Man artist of the 1990s in my book. Always fun when one of his pages is posted to CAF.

Oh that's great, man! I remember this crazy crossover clearly, including this page. Every panel's got something to see! The Firestar panel IMO is just as good as the other featuring the the featured guys. Love those motion lines behind her! Suh-weet '90s stuff, Paul, congrats!
