DescriptionIn a match for the ages, Swamp Thing versus siblings Ember and Suntop of Elfquest fame in a battle to the death. Stephen Bisstte brilliantly draws this deathmatch with Ember having Swamp Thing in a scissor choke while simultaneously pulling pieces of his body off while Suntop eagerly awaits to be tagged in. The battle we always wanted! Who will win?Just Kidding! Beautiful piece by Bissette. An unusual pairing, you don't see too many Elfquest/Swamp Thing crossovers yet when I saw it, it made total sense to me. The story behind this piece, and it's only a story not meant to be true or factual (since I can't confirm it). This was done as a commission for Stephens local comic shop. The comic shop owner had a girlfriend at the time, who was a big Elfquest fan. She also produced an Elfquest fanzine and this was to be used in it. Regardless of whether it's true or not, I think it's a fun piece. Appropriate for today, a day of coming together and giving thanks. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! You don't see too many Elfquest/Swampthing crossovers??? Uh, has anyone ever seen a single ONE before you posted this one?!? In fact, this might be a true one of a kind piece as the only Swamp Thing/Elfquest pairing in existence and that means you may have yourself a million dollar piece in today's market! Time to cash in, baby! Regardless of your new found wealth, this piece also brings a heavy dose of FUN and that's what this hobby is all about. Happy Thanksgiving, man, see you Sunday!
