Description

This is a cool item to add to the collection. Back in 1925, the Nassau Hospital in Mineola, New York held a fundraising fair on June 12 and 13. This was to help raise money for new linens and equipment for a new hospital wing. Fontaine Fox and James Montgomery Flagg both did artwork for posters for the event, and I believe this piece to be the one that Fox drew for the fair.

Mickey (Himself) McGuire was a tough-guy mainstay in Toonerville Folks, while "Spunky" Edwards often showed more courage than brawn, always getting bested by Mickey.
