Story page 3 of 3; book page 25. Top Cat and his gang are one again foiled in their scheme.

I couldn't find much information about Ray Dirgo, the artist, and that is too bad since he contributed to the industry for several years with Charlton Comics. As a kid, I loved the characters in the Charlton books but the writing was never very fun or interesting. But Ray still created lots of books.

Here's what I did find with a Google search: Ray Dirgo is mainly known for his work on Charlton comics with Hanna-Barbera characters during the 1970's. He drew many stories such as 'The Flintstones', 'Yogi Bear', 'The Jetsons', 'Top Cat' and 'Huckleberry Hound'. Dirgo was primarily self-educated in the arts. After high school, he was a sign painter and worked in advertising for a department store. Then he landed an advertising job at General Electric as a staff artist. Leaving General Electric, he did many freelance cartoon style jobs for news publications advertising for local businesses.

Have not received my copy yet, but I wonder if the new Charlton Companion from Twomorrows contains some decent Ray Dirgo info
