Description

Pinocchio Stromboli Animation Drawings Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1940). A trio of original 12 field 5-peghole final animation drawings featuring Stromboli, the nefarious Italian puppeteer. Created by Vladimir "Bill" Tytla, Walt Disney's outstanding animator of the 1930s and 40s. After he has tossed Pinocchio into the cage inside his wagon, Stromboli hefts an axe and runs his thumb along the blade while telling the star of his show that when he grows "too old -- you will make good firewood." Noted as 31, 65, and 89 in the lower right to indicate the place in the scene; a studio stamp denoting production, sequence and scene numbers appears at lower right. Art is in graphite over blue pencil with some red pencil highlights; image size is approximately 7" x 7". In Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
