DescriptionThe is page 3 of 7 from the last story in the book. The whole story takes a turn on this page. Rather than the expected pie EATING contest, Boo Boo reveals it is a pie TROWING contest. Poor Cindy Bear, as the previous page has her lamenting the loss of her "beautiful pies". Slapstick humor... the backbone of so much humor up through the 1970s. Not really my preference, but for some reason the way the Warner Brothers cartoons handled slapstick humor (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Road Runner and Coyote, etc) was SO much funnier for me than the others. I'm not sure why that is. So here is something crazy I found about Yogi on Wikipedia. He has has a show on television off-and-on since 1961. Not consecutively, but that is still a really long time and really speaks to the character's appeal. - 1961 - 1962: The Yogi Bear Show - 1967 - 1968: Yogi Bear & Friends - 1973 - 1975: Yogi's Gang - 1978 - 1979: Yogi's Space Race and Galaxy Goof-Ups - 1985 - 1988: Yogi's Treasure Hunt - 1988 - 1989: The New Yogi Bear Show - 1991 : Yo Yogi - 2021 - 2022: Jellystone Social/Sharing |

I heard good things about Taylor Sheridan's Jellystone and their spin offs: 1883 and the upcoming 1932 on Paramount+.

Great comment, Marcus. I've been trying to think of a way to continue spinning off but I just can't. You nailed it!

So much pie wastage and poor Jim Levenstein is so very lonely.
