DescriptionGraphite on 16 x 20" tracing paper. Signed by the artist and purchased directly from Alex's agent shortly after the Marvels series was released. Oh how I wanted the Gwen-focused pages 27 and 28 from Marvels 4, but those were already reserved and the agent sent these my way, along with some other prelims and pages 6 and 7 from Marvels 1.Social/Sharing |

Marvels was the best book Ross did. Congratulations! (I used to own one of those Gwen pages and a coupleof others as well.)

Thanks, Mark! I remember that now, I think it was Lisa Beaderstadt that was his friend and agent and also a model for some of his 1990s work, and I remember her saying Alex still had those Gwen pages but she had reserved them for a "prominent collector who really wanted them" (must have been you because I think I remember seeing you post someting about them on the old Comicart-L listserve?) but that she would pass on some other work to me. I was dissappointed, but also happy to have these other pieces, including the pencil prelim to the cover of Marvels 4. I'll probably post some of them them soon.

HI, Jeff, I didn't get anything directly from Ross or his agent. I got pages from other CAF-ers. I also loved Kingdom Come and owned a page or two from that story. Unfortunately, I have to sell often in order to buy; I wish I still had those pages.
