Description

I could stare at Pepe Larraz art all day; there's something wonderfully classical about it. I compare it to the sprawling ceiling frescos of the Sistine Chapel--dynamic figures bursting with life, epic compositions with angelic lighting... An apt artist to render the modern day hero myths, I'd say.

I've been so impressed with the beauty of his digital work on X-Men that I starting saving funds in case any traditional work went on sale. Once I saw this pouncing Wolverine in action over Hand ninjas I had to splurge. I'm so glad I did, the piece is beautifully oversized and full of delicate ink washes under tiny precise crosshatches...and zoom in to see the old school Zip-A-Tone!

Also it's my first cover, so that's exciting. Thanks Miguel and Pepe!

X-ceptional cover!! Really like the facial expression from the guy in front. He's not likely to survuve after this attack.
