DescriptionOriginal art to the 2008 Hulk #9 double cover by Ed McGuinness and Karl Kesel on two 11x17 boards.(Karl Kesel inks over a blue line copy of Ed’s pencils.) Oh no! Rulky got coal in his stocking! He's not gonna be happy about that! And after he took the trouble to put on a Santa beard and everything. I love how Red Hulk is wearing a green Santa hat and Green Hulk is wearing a red one. Been saving this gem for a very special occasion. I think Christmas Eve night oughta do it!! Two separate colored-version issues of Hulk #9 were made from this double page cover. They also made a black & white wraparound sketch variant. So yeah they got a lot of mileage out of this one. I just love it. And I'm super excited to share it with you. I hope you all have a wonderfully festive and safe Christmas weekend!! Social/Sharing |

A super fun set of Christmas covers! Red Hulk getting the coal kicks ass and is as it should be! Great art by McGuinness as usual, and splendid inking by Kesel, who is a surprise inker over Ed's work but is as complimentary to his pencils as he usually is on everyone else's.

Ha! That page just makes me smile. Don't worry Hulk, you can always just squeeze it into a diamond! You don't even have to wear blue and red pajamas to do it! I love pieces like this. Excellent find, Paul. And I hope your holidays were excellent.

The most apt of apt holiday posts! Not one Hulk celebrating, but 2! On 2 covers! One green, one red, like the 2 batches of enchiladas I made for the Christmas :) Such a fun piece, Paul, and a great piece of art. Ed's made his stamp as one fo the artists synonymous with the Hulk and it ain't hard to see why with pieces like this. Hope you had a very merry Christmas!
