Description

Back in the mid 1990's I was an artist for a large t-shirt company that was producing a lot of Looney Tunes t-shirts. Our best-selling characters were Taz, Bugs Bunny and Tweety. My boss and the Vice President of Licensing for Warner Bros approached the art dept and asked who the next best-selling characters would be from their secondary line of characters. I always had a love for secondary characters over the primary ones, so it was a no brainer for me to answer. In order I listed Marvin the Martian, Gossamer the Hairy Monster, Michigan J Frog, Baby Finster, and the Gremlin. The first 3 I submitted went on to sell tremendously well, especially Marvin.
I was just happy to finally see these characters I loved being mass produced on product finally! Unfortunately, the Gremlin designs I submitted would not be made due to the fact that Warner Bros no longer owned the license for the character which had expired years earlier. Going back to my cartoon designs I present the Gremlin, he likes you, you're silly!
