These printer's reference color guides were produced by photocopying the Dan Jurgens/Klaus Janson linework onto 8.5" x 11" paper and coloring with watercolors. Very cool piece as Jurgens was supposed to come over from DC and bring Spidey out of the clone saga with this series. They told him otherwise after. Really nice color work on the setting and background in the establishing shot. Ben Reilly gets his full ongoing series and looks every bit the hero. The colorwork to support the characters' expressions also provide shading and volume where the linework stops.
