Tusker by Gene Gonzales and Simon Gough

Horace Lafeaugh originally could only grow tusks from his mouth, and he was rejected when he applied for membership in the Legion of Super-Heroes. Horace went on to become a criminal, and somehow his powers evolved, changing him until he became a gray-skinned behemoth with an unbreakable skeleton. Horace joined Earth-Man's Justice League of Earth and eventually the Legion of Super-Villains. I commissioned Gene Gonzales to draw him, and he delivered an angry Tusker coming down to smash somebody. I love how Gene drew Horace's face, his skin and his hair. Simon Gough colored this piece up, making Horace pop off the page. Simon and Gene always work well together, and I love every commission that they collaborate on.
