DescriptionInternal dialogue pages between Hulk and Banner are always fantastic and Al Ewing explores it to great effect during his Immortal Hulk run.Mike Hawthorne also executes this scene wonderfully, from capturing Hulk's anger to Bruce's shame. The quote "Banner would rather die than let Hulk live!" hearkens back to the long history of Bruce trying to cure himself of his "ailment" (see Declan Shalvey's Immortal Hulk: Flatline page in my collection!) and most recently having Hawkeye kill him as a means to save the world from Hulk's destruction. Also interesting considering the current Hulk run with Spaceship Hulk where some of Bruce's tactics are questionable to say the least, and completely disregards this apology. I'm not up to date with the current run so this may be the least of the inconsistencies between the two titles but I felt this was one of a few nice reconciliations between the Banner and Hulk in this series. Hulk Klump : If you give me a moment, I can explain. My research is, um... Well, when I started out, I wanted to help people. But then I became desperate and selfish. And what I did was wrong. Hulk who I thought the whole world wanted me to be. He's who I thought I wanted to be. And sometimes when you want something so so bad, you'll do just about anything to get it. But I learned one thing from being Banner. Life isn't about being happy with how much you don't Hulk, but just being angry with yourself. I'm terribly sorry about all of this, I hope I haven't ruined everybody's evening. Please excuse me.

What an angry looking Hulk, how could he ever lose an argument?
