DescriptionI was fortunate enough to be watching the CAF show with Denys Cowan and Bill Sienkiewicz and loving the stories. The art that was being shown was fantastic as these two pillars of the comic industry shared tales of getting started with the big two.At the end they shared three pieces penciled by Cowan and to be inked by Sienkiewicz. Two Question and a Batman. Then the magic happened, and Bill mentioned that the dynamic duo would consider taking additional commissions. I jumped at the chance and sent in my request for our favorite friendly neighborhood hero. Denys asked Bill if they had ever done Spider-Man, and they agreed that they hadn't and said they would do it. This piece is the result, and I am blown away by the result. The right arm slinging a web, with Spidey in a classic pose. And I was able to knock off two titans in the industry on my bucket list with one amazing piece. Social/Sharing |

Pretty special. Cowan on Spidey is a rarity and it's nice that you can rely on Sienkiewicz's experience when he inked over Sal's run int he 90's. The right arm extension is something you don't ordinarily get from other artists and there's just the hint of messiness to show the frenzied energy Bill had during the inking stage.

Love this pose. A legendary team we've not seen grace the character which makes this extra special. The inks are so clearly that Polish guy!

What a great feeling - getting to cross a couple of artists off the list, especially when they're all-timers. Congrats on this pickup. Really cool.
