DescriptionA great Buscema page made for the comic book adaptation of the 1984 film Conan the Destroyer. Conan's big swing and glaring look really sold me. Big John always draws the best masculine faces, full of loathing and slowly boiling anger... I love the brushwork on the netting in the lower right, simple yet so effective using contrast to convey transparency. Inks by Buscema too, which is always best!Social/Sharing |

Bigger than life adventure with Buscema's dramatic and cinematic storytelling! For an early page in an issue 1, Buscema is imprinting the excitement and action of the movie with camera stills and panning shots to kick off the pace and the momentum.
