DescriptionThis is one of TWO pages I am posting tonight. Please check out the other one too!Last night I posted the 1st appearance splash of REK-RAP, a new Bizarro Spider-Man character created by Ed McGuinness. Tonight I am posting what I consider to be his two origin pages preceding that big splashy reveal. Peter, JJJ and Robbie Robertson are currently trapped in Limbo (courtesy of Chasm), where the demons are tasked with both recreating New York City and making the three prisoners' lives miserable. On this page, we see a little demon guy who earlier was saved by Peter, which has caused him to don a funny Spidey underoos outfit and proclaim himself to be a hero called "Parker-Man!" This does NOT go over well with the other demons or Chasm, so the little demon guy escapes. Social/Sharing |

In his underwear! With holes in his socks and cool, 1970's era sweat/wrist bands? He's awesome! There are enough musclebound characters running around in comics. I actually wish he has stayed like this forever, as this guy we could definitely use more of!

I agree, Parker-Man is a breath of fresh air -- unique, very funny and so cute!! Perhaps in the future, Rek-Rap and Parker-Man will be able to transform back and forth ala Hulk/Bruce Banner.

You should definitely read the recent ASM 17 and 18 issues. Pure fun. In the meantime, check out my REK-RAP post from the other night:

Sorry, I still don't know how to make these things official links.

I'd like to think that's a certain Spider-Man fan that started out as a kid and never gave up his fandom. Instead of growing up, he adopted the name of his hero as his professional moniker. Sometimes dresses up as Spidey on youtube channel yelling, "Thwip, Twhip", "It's a doozy folks!", "Are you kidding me?", and wears Hulk cologne!

Hahaha! That's great, Marcus. I really wish I knew someone like that ...

Lol, those holes in his socks! I am really liking what I see from this. Not only a Bizarro Spidey, but a Bizarro Venom Spidey that wants to be a hero in Limbo? He really is the Marvel Zibarro, imo. I'm in.

Love the spidey underoos. Brings me back to the good old days of the 80's lol. Really cool pieces from this series.
