DescriptionI picked this up from Matteo at Nerd Show Bologna. I was immediately blow away by the design. I swear this man gets better by the day! He explained how he first puts down a red wash over his pencils then builds up gray tones and ink (checkout his Instagram for process pictures). The effect is simple yet perfect for the contrast of Frank in black and the hand in their signature red ninja robes. Every mid-flight pose is unique and the perspective puts you jumping with the ninja storm as they dramatically descend...much like the scale of figures moving to the lower right. Perfect. One of my new favorite covers of all time.Also he threw in the "rough" sketch, which is actually fairly precise. Thanks Matteo you are a BEAST! Social/Sharing |

This really is a great cover. Color is critical to the concept. I saw the Instagram post and process pics, and could tell this was going to be an all-timer. Huge congratulations!
