Superboy Prime ✧*｡٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و✧*｡

Love them or hate them it's undeniable that Superboy Prime stories make you want to write an essay on what you just read. Did they tell me I need to put down the comics? Did I just get roasted? Rather than write that essay I will just say that you should go and read this one if you missed it. It is worth going back for.

Tie-ins are sometimes easy to ignore. They can pass you by if you don't have much time, but DC usually sneaks in some good stuff during their events so I try to check them out. In fact they have been the real gems of Dark Nights.

"Dark Nights : The Batman Who Laughs" was one of the best things to come out of Metal, and "Secret Origin" was one of the best things to come out of Death Metal.

"Secret Origin" works as a stand alone issue, as part of the Death Metal event, as a universe melting exclamation point for DC continuity, and also as a bookend to the whole Superboy Prime saga (so far).

Paul's layouts and poses during action sequences can really draw you in close and throw you back out again. Norm's inks add a nice amount of weight to the scenes, especially the explosive punches.
