Description

This page was published in November 1961, penciled by Mike Sekowsky and inked by Bernard Sachs. From the story entitled "Drones of the Queen Bee", this issue marks the first appearance of the title character, also known as Queen Zazzala. This chapter splash page has the JLA heading off on missions on the planet Somalar to retrieve three vials of liquids that when combined, will create an elixar of immortality.

Nice chapter title page from the classic era of silver age DC. The figures look like they were drawn on different borads and are placed all over giving you that feel that they are still a loose band of heroes still learning to work with each other at this point.
