DescriptionIn search of ancient Sith magic, the Jedi Exar Kun travels to a place of mysterious, mystical power - a power so dark, so evil, that his very link to the light side of the Force is shattered. Jedi powers can't help him here. Only the dark side of the Force can save him - even as it consumes him!Social/Sharing |

These mid 90's Dark Horse Star Wars comics had the benefit of computer colors and brighter shiny paperstock for these colors to be used. A few years later, this physical step would be gone, so pretty rare. Not sure if these also had to go through the same process of giving Lucas first dibs before being made available to collectors.

During my early years of collecting, most artists I contacted bemoaned Lucas' "right of first refusal." And, for a number of reasons - including not wanting to bother with Lucasfilm and their approval process - many of them simply held onto their art.
I do not remember having the same issue when pursuing color guides, though.

A sentiment towards the process that continues to this day.
