Description

Newest recreation. Rendered over bluelines on 11 x 17 Bristol board. Big letters done by hand. Cursive 'held' in black and touched up.

A labor of love. I remember the thrill of getting a B&W print on copy paper back in elementary school along with the Spider-Man one when I wrote to Marvel.

Still have that and scanned it, but it obviously wasn't first generation as I looked at it all these years later. Details had closed in some. So partially dropped in some cleaned up parts from a color version that was sharper.

Tried to be pretty durn faithful and took extra care with the faces. Original was by JACK KIRBY and DICK AYERS.
