DescriptionI was able to procure this and another page a couple years ago from an excellent fellow CAFer (Thanks again AB!) and it's impact is accentuated by the previous page - just a great sequence. Felipe's lovely rendering and less-is-more storytelling really speaks to me and stands out as something quite different. All the visualizations of Spidey here are just wonderfully fluid, as is the depiction of the classic "let's catch a large object with webbing". I'm also struck by the lovely rendering of the two buildings. The subtle panel breaks are the icing on the cake.Social/Sharing |

Plenty of flying webs. Awesome piece and I am a fan.

What I like most is the quick fluidity of his pen line. It appears he may have laid down nothing more than a few random scribbles with his pencil, simply to know where to place everything in each panel, and then went straight into drawing the page in inks and all freehanded. Really nice.

One day you'll look
To see the Hulk
For Andrade may reign
So Immortal the run
This page you'll know
From number one
But the webbing may strain
So it’s better bar none
And now the Carnage comes
Absolute love, I must Hulk
And though it’s loose and bends
In the web, you will know, oh

Filipe Andrade is brilliant and happy for you to get another page in the impressive sequence. I loved the art in this book and was fortunate enough to grab a few pages for myself too. Congrats Mikail!

Andrade's on my list of to get a piece or 2 by. Sequences like this are why. Really sublime line work and suh-weet storytelling. And I LOVE subtle panel breaks. So effective, yet...subtlely. Lol. Congrats, M!

Gotta love the presence of that classic comic book staple - a water tower! And it's used wonderfully here! Flying through the sky, caught in a web - fantastic stuff!

Beautiful graphic storytelling. That top panel (sort of a freeze-frame, slo-mo shot of the unlikely duo of Spidey and water tower arcing gracefully across the New York sky) switching into the manga speed lines of flying webbing in panel 2 is brilliant. And then panel 3's full-horizontal web net lets the reader know it's all going to be okay. Panel 4 is a gorgeous resolution shot, with the great lighting from below - the open white space that steers the viewer's eye directly where it needs to go; on the water tower nestled safely and securely in its web-net (with the Amazing Spoder-Squiggle nestled atop). It's all so simple, right? All you need to do is to utilize the perfect technique at the exact right time. Filipe makes this look -easy-. Incredible talent, and a beautiful sequence of pages, ML - congrats!
