Description

When I found out Kelley Jones was coming to a local con (Shortboxed LIVE - a one day comic con in Santa Clara), I reached out to him through Facebook and I set up a commission for myself for pick up at the show. I was also able to connect some friends with him and I handled the pick ups for all since I was there anyway. Kelley did some amazing commission pieces and this one is mine. Kelley also sketches for free in any of his hardcovers so I brought a few of those as well.

This Dream & Death commission was an easy choice for a piece by Kelley, but I gave him 3 options to choose from while we were chatting. Batman and Joker, Alien vs Predator, or Death and Dream. He wanted to do the Sandman piece and as one of the original artists on that series, and since I knew everyone else was mostly getting Batman pieces, I wanted to let him do something different anyway. I couldn't be happier with this one and how it came out. I like it so much I am even considering making it into a tattoo. :)
