Description

Return of the May. Day 38. Now posting forty straight days saluting the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi!

Mace Windu has detained Prosset Dibs for turning on his Jedi team, leaving Windu and his remaining group of Jedi Knights (Kit Fisto and Rissa Mano) to destroy the Separatist droid base. Afterward at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Prosset Dibs is brought before Yoda and the Jedi Council to learn his fate. (As I mentioned last year after acquiring the preceding page - *spoiler* - he's forced to work in the library. No, really.)

Denys Cowan pencils. Roberto Poggi inks are out there on a separate board.

How I'd like to look
Into that comic book,
The one that has the CGC,
And know the boy that you care for,
The boy who's in your library.

When it's Mace that’s right,
What is the side of light,
Oh what a Dibs Jedi could be,
Jedi the boy that you care force,
The boy who's in your library.

Do you recall and fate will come call
The little things I say Windu
The art you draw with line,
I'm hoping that it's mine,
Denys, I'm so in love with you.

Please don't leave milk blue,
Make all my dreams come true,
You know how much you mean Poggi,
Say I'm the boy that you’ll ink for,
The boy who is named Jeffrey.

Outside of epic saber action and/or space battle/starship goodness...I can't think of a better context/setting for a page than Jedi Council stuff in Coruscant during the prequel era. So good. Nice one!!!

The last panel in particular is very reminiscent of a scene in The Phantom Menace. Nice!

Such insubordination. Feed him to the Rancor. No, feed him to Wampa. No, let's crush him in a garbage masher. No, let's throw him from a speeder bike into a giant tree. No, let's make him work in the library. Everyone say aye for library. Aye. Well that's settled. May your life be marred with a million paper cuts.

He'll probably spend all of his time flirting with the librarians, and asking for their call numbers.
