Description

This anthology series ran for twelve issues, with three self-contained stories in each. "A Little Knowledge" was a Scott Peterson thriller starring Oracle, the paraplegic Barbara Gordon. Brian Stelfreeze' blocky black and white style here recalls Frank Miller's work on Sin City. A word balloon in the third panel was deemed superfluous and was obscured with a combination of ink and white tape. It reads, "Thank God Gotham's a cesspool that has blackouts every couple months."

Stelfreeze has gone on to work in many styles and mentor many artists. I was amazed he still had these pages in his possession at the Lake Como Comic Art Festival in 2023, so I picked up two.
