Awesome fish out of water scenes establishing images important to the character and the series as an alien to the big city!

People watching" is always a fun activity in a Matt Wagner piece, and I love that we get to meet a number of Metropolis denizens (as well as the city itself) as we follow Clark Kent gamely "trying" to catch a train (which he cops to deliberately missing "at least three times a week") on his way to work. He's just "more powerful" than the locomotive, not as timely as one, apparently. :)
Add to that how in three of the first four panels he appears in (on pages 2 and 3), he's pointing "up, up and away"... as he's running to catch the train (even as it pulls out of the station), and you have a charmingly hilarious and awesome opening sequence to this series. Great pick up, Matthew! Congrats!
