It's the old fashioned quality illustration that just says a lot about Godwin and the era of comic strips as the dominant form of comics. This was the pinnacle of what comics artists could achieve in having their own long running strip and telling stories that reached the masses who clamored for it every day. This is a grea example of how Godwin moves the story and endears us to Rusty through his adventures.
