Azrael Annual #3 p23 (1997) Jim Aparo / James Hodgkins

The annuals this year had the 'pulp hero' theme and Denny O'Neil went for a pulp noir feel that is clearly evident in the great Jim Aparo's pencils nicely inked by Hodgkins.

In this page a femme fatale visits and is offered a glass of chocolate milk which she drinks (guess we need to read the story to understand this bizarre sequence).� The femme fatale is actually Catwoman in disguise and the milk is drugged.

Artboard is in overall excellent condition and off-white in color.� Top and bottom margins have a small piece of yellow tape.� Page number "23" in the bottom margin is a paste-on.� Blue pencil and white-out were used as part of the creative process although very little on this page.
