Featured is an original rear cover page of Dandy 'Keyhole Kate' comic art on card by DC Thomson artist Allan Morley. The page appeared in issue no.409, not no.411 as written in the art margin, way back in 1949 and measures approximately 250mm by 390mm, or around 9x15ins.

There must be a lot of this art, but were is it? In the Thompson vault?

Good question friend. Thanks for the comment. Obviously the art is out there , I've got a page, but are there much earlier examples out there, and where is it? But If it's not in any archive are pages & panels from both Dandy & Beano golden era lying in private collections, still with the artists family themselves, or do they still exist at all? 🙂
