Description

Today I was lucky enough to meet Tom Grummett and his wife Nancy in person and they were the nicest people. I really had to reign in my geekiness. I was shaking a tad but what a great experience. I�ve said before, and I�ll say it again I always thought Adventures of Superman 500 was one of the best issues Tom ever worked on. I was lucky enough to get him to do a piece that was inspired by that issue and man he knocked it out of the park the water color gives it the feel of that book. I am more than pleased with my experience with meeting him and his wife.

I do as well. I tried really hard to find duoshade paper to send to you to have him pencil on it. I was able to find small pieces but nothing big enough x the watercolors give it the feel of the book. He told me it was the first time anyone has asked him to do something enspired by that book and I love it. Thanks again bud.

Not only is this one a powerful splash image, but it's backed up with such a great experience that it will resonate for all time in your collection.

That is so cool that you got to meet Tom Grummett and his wife! It's those experiences that make this hobby even more wonderful than it already is. And what a beautiful watercolor piece! Congrats!

Great figure work and I really dig the watercolor on Superman. But the serendipitous way in which you got to pick the commission up is even better!
