DescriptionBig thank you to my buddy Kelsey for working with me on my first art trade. I was very pleased to help him fill a hole with a piece and I was excited to reunite this piece with the other Avengers X-Sanction art in my collection.Marvel first announced CABLE REBORN at the 2011 SDCC and used they this art to tease the return of Cable at the convention and online and other promo. Once the series went to press it was titled Avenger: X-Sanction and was a four issue series full of big and bold Edex art! This piece was used for 1) Promo, 2) Issue 2 2nd print cover, 3) The intro pages for each issue and later in the 4) Art of Ed McGuinness book! Multiversity Comics stated, "Some time ago, Marvel teased a series entitled _ _ _ _ _ Reborn from Loeb and McGuinness. Now at the Cup O’ Joe panel at SDCC, it has been revealed that the project will be Cable Reborn, and will bring back the dead character from the ashes of Second Coming to whatever remains of the X-Men post-Schism. This isn’t the first time that Loeb has worked with the character of Cable, writing the character’s main title in the 90’s. This is also not the first time that Loeb has written a book with the moniker of “Reborn” either, working on the Onslaught insanity of the 90s and his return in 2006." Social/Sharing |

Congrats, George. Striking design.
Thanks! It's got a hint of a Miller-esque feel with the character coming out of the deep shadows.

Nails it with so little art!
So much ink but such a minimal but effective design! Love when Ed and Dexter work together.

This is really cool. Love that all you see is his arm and eye.

Thanks my friend! I'd like to think this was Marvel's response to your DC Adventures of Superman #594 cover, ha!

Just a striking, super effective image! What a way to ring in the return of the Askani'son. Really glad you were able to work out nabbing this, man, and I like all the additional images you posted - fun to see the multiples uses. Congrats!
