The first pulp painting I ever bought, and still one of my favorites. By the incomparable Walter Baumhofer for the Doc Savage novel "Mystery Under the Sea", which appeared in the 2.36 issue.

Etherial! Love the expressions, staging, colors, and atmospherics in this. Getting the lighting and color to work so well must have been tricky to pull off
