Description

Frank Godwin was one of the greats of the newspaper strips, but he was so much more. A prolific artist who can also be seen in books, magazines, and advertisement. His Connie and Rusty strips are beautifully rendered. One of the masters of brushwork. I'm thrilled to own this early Sunday.

He was a master of expression, character, and setting. One of the great strip artist/Illustrators. I love studying the panels of this page.

Great looking Sunday. I particularly like the clown and the portrait in the first tier. One can't have too much Godwin in their collection. 1949 is nice and early too.

He was a master of character and expression.I also love the clown. I consider myself fortunate to have two Rusty pages bookending his work on the strip.
