Nocterra, created by Scott Snyder and Tony S. Daniel, is a sci-fi adventure that revolves around Val Riggs, a ferryman who relays people and goods through a world enveloped by a lasting darkness that turns the living into monstrous creatures called shades.

Netflix was interested in creating a series based on the comic but so far it has not come to fruition.

I must confess, I have not read this title but I really liked this cover.

Thinkin' of this cover, man
'Cause the paintin' still wet inside my hand
So I dig into my pocket, all my money is spent
So I dig deeper as Bill comes out monsterous
So I thought comissions, leave Val Ferryman
Thinkin' "How could I get art from variants?"
I need money, I used to be a Blacktop kid
So I think of all the devious things Val Riggs
I used to roll up, "Nocterra holds up, ain't Netflix’s money
Stop smilin', be Bill, don't nothin' move but the ferry"
But now I learned to earn 'cause Parel’s righteous
I feel great, so maybe I might just
Search for his painted line, if I strive
Then maybe I'll stay alive
So I walk up the street comment on this
Filling out the space 'cause, gap, do I miss
The pen and a paper, a stereo, tape between
And Tony D,-aniel nice big plate of
Fisch, which is mixed media dish
But without no Ferry, it's still a wish
'Cause I don't like to dream about being Shade
So I dig into the books of the lines Snyder made
So now's a test to see all Gerald’s pull
Paint it beautiful, 'cause I'm Shade in full
