Alright, that does it. I'm tired of just having one Sienkiewicz piece in my collection. Makes me wonder why I wasted all those years collection a hundred Art Adams pieces. LOL! (Just kidding Art!)

Looks like Seinkiewicz got a hold of old industrial appliances like sewing machines and steam engines to build this monstrosity. Besides the machine and the bloody mess, the rest is intentionally made to look like a typical staid industrial employee guide for the workplace.

Terrific example from this classic story! The steampunk Singer sewing machine surgery contraption made such an impression on me on a first reading back when this hit the shelves. What a creative team on this book

You need a bigger scanner.
This was scanned by Scott Dunbier at the IDW offices for print in an Artist Edition. I'll try harder.

Man so much was lost in that IDW artists edition. I knew it printed super dark the second I opened it. It is the only AE book I ever returned.

You have a photographic copy/paste memory, Steve Dicke.

Beautiful page. I like how the machine is like a signer sewing machine. Man so much was lost in that IDW artists edition. I knew it printed super dark the second I opened it. It is the only AE book I ever returned. The original elektra assassin books from the 80's printed better than something 40 years later. what a shame. It had some really nice art in it like your page.

It was frustrating. My brother took a whole bunch of art over to Scott's office, got it all perfectly scanned, had a great talk. The book printed dark, and we never received our many promised comp copies.

oh man that is all around frustrating. I want to say I hope they make it right but I wouldn't want a copy of that book and I am a huge Bill fan. Maybe another? I know IDW has been going through a lot of changes... still sucks. I had the oportunity to contribute to the Ronin book and did get a comp copy. Graphitti also does a great job with their books.

Interesting piece by Bill Sienkiewicz. It's painted almost like a techical illustration from the 1950s. That strange mechanical device looks a little like my Grandmother's sewing machine turned sideways. Who but Sienkiewicz would have dreamed up a page like this? Very cool.
