DescriptionMichael Phelps as Aquaman by none other than Ramona Fradon!Originally a commission from another CAF member from Ramona at Baltimore Comic Con 2008. Michael Phelps as Aquaman. What a great idea, considering he is the best swimmer EVER! (Michael Fred Phelps II is an American former competitive swimmer. He is the most successful and most decorated Olympian of all time with a total of 28 medals. Phelps also holds the all-time records for Olympic gold medals, Olympic gold medals in individual events, and Olympic medals in individual events). I included an image from Sports Illustrated Aug 2008 to show time the period in which it was created. Fun history. I grew up swimming and well just loved this when I saw it and had to have it. What an inspiration. Wish it was my idea, but I found this gem on Ebay. Meant to be! Looks like colored pencils on 9 x 12 art board. Might be ink and colored pencils Social/Sharing |
