DescriptionJoshua Cassara - X-Men #24 p 2 (Hellfire Gala Prologue - Kid Cable ambushed by Nimrod, Moira MacTaggert and Omega Sentinel)Super proud to own a fantastic looking page with one of my childhood favorites in Cable. More than that, it’s so cool to own this little piece of history. This page from the short story at the beginning of the book serves as the prologue to the Hellfire Gala, which proved to be one of the biggest moments in Krakoan and X-Men history. That event’s climax in my opinion, was Nimrod’s attack from above. Here, we got some nice foreshadowing in Nimrod’s similarly styled ambush of Cable. Great standoff center panel! Cassara sets it up so well with the establishing shot and the angles all worked out.

Wow! What an awesome X-Men page! I love this storyline and this is such a key scene--Kid Cable getting taken out by Moira Mactagggert and a Sentinel! Masterfully laid out by Joshua Cassara and beautifully inked by him, as well. A terrific example of visual storytelling! Great pick-up!

Thank you so much, Bill. It means a lot. But yes, I loved that this told so much of a story just in one page - it doesn't even need any context or speech bubbles to understand the trap Kid Cable found himself in!

Cassara's work in the X books continues to be rock solid and really enjoy his visual storytelling! Congrats on this beauty prequel piece to an amazingly horrific end of an X era!
