Description

I was intrigued to meet Noah Van Sciver at Heroes in 2022 and picked up a couple of his books. I've since become an avid fan after reading Saint Cole, One Dirty Tree, As a Cartoonist, and some short stories appearing in Blab and other odd places. I'm now hooked! I've got a stack of other books of his to read, including The Complete Works of Fante Bukowski, which is where this page appeared.

Thanks to my friends Morgan, for turning me on to this wonderful creator, and Keith Becker, for purchasing this page from the artist at the most recent Heroes con and sending it my way. Next best thing to being there!

Thanks for posting this. Haven't seen this artist before. Fun style and characters! Even though totally different, reminds me a bit of Over the Garden Wall. Congrats!

This page perfectly encapsulates who Fante is as a character. That third panel in particular is such a wonderfully placed pause before Fante bolts away.
