Description

Black Octopus character design by Rob Schrab.

The international jewel thief alter ego of Sussudio, a freelance bounty hunter hired to bring Scud in after he bails on an assassination assignment and goes rogue. Eventually, she reveals that she is a closet robosexual, and has fallen in love with Scud. Her full name is Sussudio "Suzy" Gritt, daughter of movie star Hank Gritt.

I met Rob Schrab in 1994 at San Diego Comicon. He pitched the idea of the book resulting in my friend Tim and I picking up the first issue. We were back the next day to grab issues 2 and 3. Ultra-bombastic the book was full of fun catch phrases, insane character ideas and plot twists. It was the antithesis of I had been reading at the time. I've been a die-hard fan ever since.

I'm lucky to own multiple pages from this cult classic that birthed the creative futures of Rob Schrab and Dan Harmon.

I like art style on this particular prelim. Reminds me of Michele Pfeiffer's Catwoman.Congrats!
