Description

Had the pleasure of meeting Guy Dorian Sr. in Baltimore - a few weeks later he was kind enough to part with this cover.

I don't buy a lot of modern stuff, mainly confine my collecting to the 60's - 90's, but love Guy's art and his take on Rom. The earlier IDW Rom looked different enough that it just didn't feel like the same character - Guy's versions brought back a lot of the earlier aesthetic. This version is pretty spot on classic Rom.

Aside from Rom, love the sci-fi horror element and the deep blacks of space. Great piece for Halloween month too!

Wicked detailed art in the horror tradition! You really get a sense of the menace and danger from the Dire Wraiths!

One of the rare occassions where I think the updated design of something from the original series is actually improved a bit - the pudgy looking wraiths never looked too threatening (the female ones with the snake tongue did tho...).
