From my favorite comic book of all-time Middlewest! I love Abel's story throughout the book & the themes Skottie intertwines into the story. These scene is one of my favorites where Abel saves his captor from a deadly fire.

The extiguisher effect is some tight swirling of scratchy dry brush within those outlines for a billowy cloud effect. The little tnagents between panels 2 and 3 make the sotry flow easily. The last panel reads across to great effect with faces in full view at the right.
