Some of the looser panels are put in on purpose to let Bill Wray essentially paint in during the color stage. What Wrightson really tightened up on was the hideousness of the monster's face and the establishing shot. That storytelling is akin to other works in this late 80's and early 90's era of his career like Batman the Cult.

💯. The storytelling and artistic styling of Punisher: P.O.V. (1991) is extremely reminiscent of Batman: The Cult (1988) since it is by the same creative team of Starlin, Wrightson, & Wray. The city setting both above ground and below ground (in the sewers) feels very much the same and many of the characters even resemble each other. Frank Castle and Bruce Wayne really aren't too far off from each other in appearance, for example. Many of the page layouts are nearly identical as well.

This series is very nostalgic for me, and I have come to truly love the art from it. This is a great page that leans a little more toward the horror side of this story. Excellent panel layout here as well. Congrats on another BDubb!
