Here is a nice Jungle Jim Topper for Flash Gordon by Alex Raymond from 1936! In addition to beautiful ink brush work, there is a hand colored panel that is transcendent. From the collection and estate of my friend John Biernat.

You can tell that she's shaded different than everything else on the Sunday and deserves this spotlight treatment that even outshines her co star.

Alex Raymond.. was a true Artist. This JJ remember me also Flash Gordon style.. I mean the birth of comics golden age, and the way he draw details and colored the woman also is very intersting and he gave classy to all the scene in each little detail. Congrats!

The line work is just beautiful...and what a amazingly delicate touch on the ink wash of the female character's face and hair. Nice one Jeff!
